PhotoFilmStrip

As i returned from my honeymoon in 2008 i had a lot of pictures with me. Because i switched my default operating system from Windows to Linux it was hard to find an easy application to create beautiful slideshows. The applications i found were either complicated or the results ended up in poor quality.

From this point i decided to develop my own slideshow creation software. The most important thing was: Run on Linux! Linux software is mostly licensed under the GPL and so my project went GPL too. Finding a name was not easy but somehow i came to PhotoFilmStrip.

PhotoFilmStrip is an open source application to create Full-HD slideshows. It is hosted on SourceForge and since October 2008 it was downloaded more than 230.000 times, which makes me very proud.
